Terms of Use

These terms cover your use of Awaydesk: the phone and tablet apps, the Mac agent, and this service. By creating an account you agree to them. Questions: hello@awaydesk.app.

What Awaydesk does

Awaydesk lets you see and control your own Mac from your phone or tablet. The connection runs directly between your devices over your Tailscale network. It needs Tailscale on your Mac and on each phone or tablet, all signed in to the same Tailscale account.

Your account

Keep your password to yourself; you’re responsible for what happens under your account. You can delete it at any time in the app (Profile → Delete account) or at api.awaydesk.app/delete-account.

Subscription

• Awaydesk costs $4.99 a month (or the local price shown in the App Store or Google Play). A free trial may be offered; the store shows its length before you confirm.
• Payment is taken by Apple or Google when you confirm the purchase, or when the free trial ends.
• The subscription renews automatically each month unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Cancel in your App Store or Google Play account settings.
• Refunds follow Apple’s or Google’s policies.
• Deleting your Awaydesk account doesn’t cancel the store subscription; cancel it in the store too.

Acceptable use

Only control computers you own or are allowed to control. Don’t use Awaydesk to break the law, to access someone else’s devices, or to disrupt the service. We may suspend accounts that do.

The service

We work to keep Awaydesk running, but it is provided “as is”, without warranties. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We may change or discontinue features; if we end the service, we’ll say so in advance.

Changes

If these terms change, we’ll post the new version here with a new date. Continuing to use Awaydesk after that means you accept them.
